  Many hats are worn by the Teacher Consultants at Lake Shore Public Schools. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, making sure our "at-risk" students have educational opportunities to become successful citizens. Meeting with administration, staff, students and parents is vital to ensure an educational plan is set and carried out for special needs students. Part of my responsibility is also designing and/or implementing programs to instruct and/or review specific skills in content areas. Managing our special education programs (along with the paperwork) is an immence part of my job. Overseeing child study meetings, transferring students from one program to another, scheduling staff and parent meetings, and evaluations of students referred for special education add to my list of responsibilities.
