      Research focused on precancerous lesions and cancer in different body sites, foremost head&neck squamous cell carcinoma, melanoma, cervical, prostatic and colorectal carcinoma. The studies were performed on tissue samples obtained at biopsies and surgical resections, and included traditional light microscopy, immunohistochemical analyses, and molecular techniques. The main topics of the program were: diagnostic and prognostic criteria with new molecular biomarkers and potential new molecular therapeutic targets.
