My internship experience at the Port of Beirut was an exciting opportunity to apply my technical skills in a real-world setting. During my time there, I was able to work alongside experienced professionals and gain valuable insight into the inner workings of the port. The internship at the Port of Beirut involved working with SQL*Plus to manage and manipulate databases. This included tasks such as writing SQL queries to extract data from the databases, updating records, and creating new tables. Additionally, there were opportunities to work with software engineering and development. This involved installing and configuring new software applications, developing custom software solutions to meet the Port's needs, and troubleshooting issues with existing software. Hardware maintenance is also a major component of the internship, with tasks such as replacing faulty hardware components, upgrading existing hardware, and ensuring that the Port's computer systems are functioning optimally.
