      YMCA Charters Nursery is a 96 placed private Nursery which offers great outdoor space and individual rooms. Age range of children within the setting start from 3months to 5 years with over 30 members of staff. Following the Early Years Foundation stage to set the standards for children's development. Within my time spent at Charters which altogether will be five and half years I have worked with children who have special educational needs, within a big team, currently in a supervisor positions, Nursery cook. My main rolls and responsibilities were to maintain a high level of care and provision for the children in my care and ensure the environment is rich and full of learning opportunities to the highest of standards: • Planning activities to suit individual children's needs, following the EYFS guidelines. Having my own key group of children.• Outdoor play is highly important part of children's development, studies have shown this is where they learn the most. Over the years I have been in charge of vegetable patches and ensuring the gardens are a hub of learning.• First Aid trained.• Ensuring the children within my care are in a safe and secure but fun environment. • Working very closely with parents and careers to ensure the children and parents are happy. • Manage a team of five people.• When new challenges have arisen I have researched them to learn more and ensure my practice is at a high standard. I.E finding new ways to comfort children, A parent has taken on ABA therapy to which I researched and implanted into the EYFS. • Organising teams for efficient work.• Cook healthy meals for the children when the nursery chief was on holiday or when they have left to go to other jobs. • Organising the daily running of the room and staff, Diaries, organising events for the children, taking booking for show rounds.• Always having a polite manner when talking to parents about their child, polite phone manner with passing on messages to mangers.
