IT services are critical to our employees who live, work and travel across North America, providing products and services for railway operations. I work as TPSC’s IT Manager, supporting all communications, computer, information and security systems. This includes monitoring performance of systems; troubleshooting hardware and software issues related to internal IT; making recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure; defining IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes; assessing vendors and developing strategies for new hardware and software; overseeing and determining timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades and migrations; and developing IT policy and best practice guides for the company. My skills are regularly used to maintain our company websites, to produce training videos and to create marketing materials. I also provide technical support to our TPSC sales team, and QC guidance and training for our ARMS production team.
