I love helping bring other people's visions to life; so they can share them with others before they actually exist. Concept, design, fabrication and build-out, photography and compositing by me. When I add the individual pieces of artwork, I will note who else has contributed in a significant way - thanks for being patient!

Academy Award winner Ian Hunter’s thoughts about me on Sam Raimi’s 'Oz The Great and Powerful' “Carl Horner has a great artistic eye, and he turned that eye to exactly matching those original concepts.” Cinefex #133

Interfaced with various design teams to aid in master planning projects around the world. Engineered and built models and partial scale mock-ups. Ran and maintained the departments laser cutter and 3D printers. I also photographed and videotaped various models and interviewed architects for use in EPK's, New Media, brochures, displays and advertising. Handled the departments day to administrative responsibilities with my customary sense of humor...

It was a hell of a ride working with Rob to recreate Nazi Germany on a shoestring from 4 or 5 concept sketches provided by production. I directly supervised all Art Department activities - including: the budget, coordination, schedule, drawings, set construction, scenic, set decoration, props, graphics and miniature visual effects. We had a hell of a team and pulled off some miracles that earned me the praise, "You da bomb!" from Rob. I also drew and constructed dimensional blueprints, and built special effects props, set pieces and models.

Directly responsible to the company's Head Concept Designer for supervising and executing conceptual architectural models, vehicle designs, and mock-ups for various Fortune 100 companies and the government. Lit and shot high impact photos and videos for presentations and marketing, etc. Unfortunately, I can't post anything here for fear of visits from the nefarious 'Men in Black'. Seriously...

A tiny slice of the Disney "magic" that I am very honored to have been a part of the core team on. I was the Design and Production team member responsible for ensuring that the Creative Team's designs were fully realized and built in a timely and cost-effective manner, and I worked directly with the Show Producers and Art Directors, and all of the different Imagineering departments, including architecture and structural engineering - during the design, production, and installation phases.
