Still to this day my best experience of a project manager in any capacity was working with Carl on two detailed design projects several years ago. His ability to assist the design team with problem-solving solutions but being able to remain as an overseer is a quality I think very few people possess. I would highly recommend him for any design projects and hope to work with him on more projects in the future.

Carl is a member of our Southern Staffordshire Design Review Panel providing expert advice on schemes at pre planning application stage helping to ensure we maintain a quality built environment oinsouthern Staffordshire. I first met Carl in 2009 when he submitted what turned out to be the winning scheme (against 32 other entries) in our Building Design Awards for a fantastic new build scheme at St Dominics School in Breewod. Carl's passion and enthusiasm for high quality design was immediately self evident. In 2011 Carl was on the judging team for our Design Awards, a task he clearly enjoyed, egaging professionals and non professional alike in an understanding and appreciation of what makes buildings work. Carl is an innovative architect with an eye for detail and a thorough understanding of his profession. We have a greatly welcomed his contribution to the work of the Southern Staffordshire Partnership and consider ourselves very fortunate to have his support.

This design review service helps developers, architects and local authorities, speed up planning, save money and create high quality places. Design Review provides independent, objective, expert feedback on the design of proposed developments. The service works though a panel of experienced professionals (architects, urban designers, engineers, transport planners, sustainability experts, landscape architects). The panel meets regularly to consider schemes that will have a significant impact on their area. We study the designs, listen to a presentation from the developers and their architects, discuss the proposals and give feedback.
