  I currently work with El Molino's Independent Study Program, teaching all subjects (except algebra; I have to brush up). I still love learning, and have successfully taught all levels of English, Theater Arts, Visual Art, Multi-Media, most of the Social Studies courses, Psychology, Peer Support, and Speech and Debate. I have traveled abroad with students as part of the education process and wish to find a way to do this more often.

  Working with kids who have had huge, often outrageous difficulties in life and who need to learn basic skills on how to merely survive to a healthy and happy future, while also meeting state standards to graduate from high school is one of the most challenging, the most humbling, and most rewarding things I have ever experienced. One has to pull out all personal skills mentally and emotionally and be able "get real". Loved it/still love them
