  • Solely responsible for the entire credit control function covering the UK and Ireland for both indent and trading sales. • Reporting directly to the Managing Director in the UK and liaising with the Financial Director, Senior Management, and other colleagues based across various international sites. • Responsible for cash allocation (multi-currency) and reconciliation of customer accounts. • Identifying slow paying accounts, aged debtor analysis, collection and chasing by telephone, email and letter and ensuring correspondence, payment arrangements, legal action and credit insurance policy are all actioned in accordance with documented procedures. • Working alongside the Sales Team to resolve customer issues/ maintain relationships while minimising risk. • Checking credit limits and deciding and setting discretionary limits and amending customer accounts accordingly. • Issuing new account application forms and doing all necessary background checks/risk assessment of potential customers and deciding credit amount and terms. • Checking and reconciling company bank accounts and allocation of monies paid and banking. • Preparation of month end reports for the Management Team as well as all ad hoc reporting.
