Linda Beattie

I had the pleasure of working with Carey at Academic Press in the Applied Sciences global publishing team. She was instrumental in building new product lines, developing many award-winning reference works, and overseeing major projects including the transfer of extensive printed material to an online format. She has incredible business sense and is extremely organized and persistent in pursuing a goal. While I was based in the US and Carey in the UK, she helped make our international team function extremely well, and I know that she can adapt to any situation with ease. She would make a great addition to any organization who is looking for excellent results.

Carey and I worked together when I was director at Academic Press and she was in charge of the major reference works programme. Carey is a highly intelligent and most knowledgeable professional publisher, with an incredible eye for detail and a very systematic approach to her work and to the publishing programme she developed and led. She was loved and admired by the staff who worked for her at Academic Press.
