  Role involves: working with Marine Managers to develop and manage safety policies, practices and procedures to achieve management objectives in terms of policing, operational control and safety of the harbours and territorial waters of the Island.  Assisting the Harbour Master to identify need for new guidelines, codes, directives and regulations (with particular regard to harbour operations, safety and security).  Supporting and assisting the review of event planning from a Health & Safety as well as Operational Safety aspect.  Coordinating the management of all incident and occurrence reporting, statistical analysis, and the evaluation of all incidents and occurrences. Providing operational safety guidance to other Marine Managers, external stakeholders, and contractors.  Deputising for the Maritime Compliance Manager as required.
