Christian was our VP of Communications for AMA PDX during the year that I served as President (2019-2020) and is our incoming VP of DEI for the 2020-21 board year. Christian was one of the highest performing board members, and I have nothing but praise to give for his efforts leading our organization. To start, he led 4 board members, helping to develop much-needed processes to streamline our communication efforts within our board of directors. With his leadership, he was able to grow our social media presence, refresh our voice, and implement best practices across our email marketing and blog. Christian also helped me initiate DEI initiatives for our AMA PDX, leading our board in DEI training and helping us to frame our efforts with a DEI lens. He helped us respond swiftly to the Black Lives Matter movement, positioning us as a leader within all of AMA, and is now helping nationals with their DEI initiatives on a special task force. I would *highly* recommend Christian for any organization looking to make improvements across their communications, or withing the DEI space. He was invaluable!
