Severance Specialist duties included calculating severance pay for employees who are involuntary terminated, maintained spreadsheet for the Willamette acquisition employees which is sent to Aetna, printed job transition letters along with the Severance Summary and Release of Claims letter, coordinated with COBRA team to mail severance package with COBRA offering. A member of the Benefits Administration team; duties include enrolling in U.S. benefits, adding and removing dependents from coverage for various reasons (marriage, divorce, newborn, death, fulltime students) working more intense eligibility issues, domestic partner coverage, concentrating on Open Enrollment issues such as dealing with plan changes for salaried employees and production employees.
