Edrington is a privately owned international spirits company producing Scotch whisky blended malts, including The Famous Grouse and Cutty Sark, and single malts The Macallan and Highland Park and an additionaly Spirits portfolio including leading Caribbean rum Brugal, and Snow Leopard vodka. I ensure that the brands partner with global marketing teams to develop timely local plans and campaigns in alignment with regional strategy. I have created a strategically aligned CRM for South Africa as well as supporting BA and TMM’s in trade execution. More recently, I was nominated to participate in Edrington’s global “Emerging Talent Program”.

Within their comprehensive stable, I held the responsibility for the entire Edrington Portfolio and as the face of the brand in Southern Africa, I also became a brand educator to the luxury hospitality industry and the larger corporates looking to provide unique experiences for UHNWI’s. I cemented strong brand partnerships with other luxury industries e.g. Paul Smith (couture), FNB (Johannesburg Art Fair), MasterCard (Winter Sculpture Festival) and Five Star hotels both in Cape Town and Johannesburg (Tourism and Hospitality).

The five star Cape Grace Hotel, located in Cape Town Waterfront’s yacht marina boasts the world-renowned Bascule Bar & Whiskey Lounge where I held the position of Whiskey Sommelier, running the exclusive Whiskey Members’ Club, curating and compiling the Bascule’s extensive whiskey menus and sourcing rare and unusual whiskies. I trained Cape Grace hotel staff on local, regional and international whiskey, conceptualizing and hosting local and international guests for tastings (2 - 200 people) and visiting the various Scottish Distilleries during this period.
