My paying job is as a Manager at Oracle of a team that provides senior level support and training to customers. I appreciate an individual who can multi-task, manage her time, follow through on commitments, is sharp, creative and tenacious. Candace is all of that and more. It has been a pleasure to get to know Candace and I believe she is a tremendous asset to UMOM and the people whose lives she has touched in such a magic way.

As the Director of Development, and a member of the Executive Leadership team for St. Joseph the Worker, my role includes strategic planning and oversight of the development program to ensure the agency has the funds to support the organization. These areas include donor and board relations, marketing, fundraising, community outreach, events, volunteer operations, and public relations. As a member of the leadership team, directly supported the agencies strategic plan that has grown the organization from assisting 433 individuals with a budget of 400k to assisting 3,400 with a budget of 1.2m.

As the Special Events and Outreach Coordinator, my primary focus in ensuring St. Joseph the Worker has the funds, in kind donations and volunteers to support the organization. I oversee all aspects of our internal and external marketing, communications, and public relations. Through community outreach, I engage individuals, groups, organizations, and faith based missions in our work. I serve as lead for our volunteer committees planning special events ranging from 10 participants to 1200 participants. I coordinate volunteer operations leading to more than 2500 hours of direct service annually.
