As former vice chair of Red Hat’s B.U.I.L.D., (blacks united in leadership and diversity); I had the pleasure of closely working with Candace Williams. I admire her knowledge, leadership, collaboration and partnership with our diversity and inclusion communities. Candace is the consummate professional, strong communicator and very diplomatic. As a D+I program manager, Candace helped us bring to life many new ideas and initiatives. Additionally, Candace shared her vision with B.U.I.L.D - to celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on a grander scale. This vision was brought to reality with our leadership team. This 2019 Red Hat celebrated it’s first official MLK Day of Service - with over 400 participants around the country, including our CEO, CFO and CPO. This is truly a phenomenal accomplishment for Red Hat and B.U.I.L.D.; as a global leader in the tech. We credit Candice’s leadership and guidance in the success of this and many other initiatives.
