I was employed as an NIH-funded post-doctoral fellow at The Texas Children's Microbiome Center. I gained extensive experience utilizing bioinformatics and metabolomics to understand how antibiotic exposure alters the intestinal microbiota and increases susceptibility to Clostridium difficile infection. My research aimed to identify disease biomarkers as well as species of bacteria associated with disease susceptibility.
