  Nowadays the solar energy in Chile is the most supported power resource, both public and private.Only in 2015 US$13 billions were approved for the installation of photovoltaic solar panels. More even, the country has set as a target for 2050 to make solar energy represents a 25% of the total of electrical generation of the country.However, in the north of Chile, solar panels are affected in their performance, loosing between a 20-40% of their efficiency as a consequence of the big amount of dust and particulate matter that covers the panels. Most as a cause of the intense industrial activity and local wind conditions.Thus, companies must invest a big amount of money for cleaning their long solar panels arrays. Show less
