This research project involves investigating the effectiveness of transnational governance schemes in improving the sustainability of artisanal cobalt mining in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It is a multi-country project involving researchers and stakeholders in England, the DRC and China. Main duties: Synthesising and critically reviewing the existing literature on sustainability challenges in the cobalt supply chain. Assisting with the writing of academic papers.
