  As a registration representative my responsibilities included collecting demographic, guarantor, and insurance coverage information via telephone or in person. I was responsible for checking in patients for their appointments, making sure demographic and insurance information was accurate. I was responsible for checking in patients for their appointments, making sure demographic and insurance information was accurate. I was also responsible for multiple electronic work queues that included making out bound demographic calls to patients, checking insurance eligibility on various insurance websites, and making out bound calls to patients to collect any missing visit information for billing. I was also responsible for answering telephone calls regarding billing, insurance, referrals, and general clinic information. Through this job I gained experience and prophecies with EPIC systems. My quick grasp on the registration workflow lead to a promotion in December 2012. I also took on training new hires in 2012 while the Registration Representative – Coordinator position was being filled and also took on the responsibility of training the person hired for that position.
