Managed the two firsts open research and innovation programs of JOGL in the field of global health. One of them was the OpenCovid19 initiative which gathered +2000 researchers, engineers, developers, social scientists, and students from 80 countries who developed 120 open source projects to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Specifically, I:- Structured and coordinated the Opencovid19 online community, formalized processes to guide participants, adapted our activities to the community's fast-changing needs, and initiated collaborations across community members. - Led collaborative efforts of several working groups of +50 people, with a focus on governance, community building, programmatic research and evaluation. This gave me the opportunity to mentor students to build their research and programmatic skills. - Contributed to the identification of best practices for creating and sustaining open science communities in a participatory way. Thanks to our partners and the community peer-review process we established, we were able to allocate 110K to 35 projects from 19 countries. 6 papers in peer-review journals document our work and the outputs of the community’s efforts.
