I managed the day to day operations which include answering questions from the community, scheduling meetings with shareholders and stakeholders, as well as managing the annual budget. I also coordinated in partnership with the Board and Founder our three annual events which include participation in Children and Youth Day, our Global Neonatal Nurses Institute (a two day conference and reception), and Celebration of Aloha (our annual golf tournament, concert, and dinner fundraiser). I am currently in the process of launching our 'Ohana Malama program which will provide air and/or ground transportation for a Hawai'i family in need whose baby (age 0-3) is in the hospital and they have difficulty traveling back and forth to bond and learn to care for baby.

I managed every day to day aspect of the School of Nursing at Chaminade University. This included daily operations, oversight of an employee and paid student workers, communicating en masse to nursing students, other university departments, and external partner organizations. I have also worked together with the Dean and Chief Nurse Administrator to account for the budget, I processed checks, travel requests, and petty cash requests. I also coordinated short- and long- termprojects that include 25 to hundreds of people such as Chaminade School of Nursing’s annual New Student Commitment Ceremony, Dean's Team, Alumni Mixer, Clinical Partner Recognition Program, and Nursing Pinning Ceremony. I coordinated office meetings, greeted individuals who came to the door, coordinated the School of Nursing course schedules in partnership with the rooms scheduler and other departments, and maintained office supplies. The most important evidence of my ability to manage and coordinate long-term projects was planning and executing every aspect of a re-accreditation for the Chaminade School of Nursing. I personally provided detailed supervision to the production of a high quality self-study, organization of evidence of student and program success, preparation for the site visit, and coordination of the evaluation team visit. This labor of love led to the program receiving its first 10 year reaccreditation recognition in May 2018.

As the Clinical Credentialing Assistant, the tasks I was responsible for included communicating to the nursing students what each of their clinical site requirements were, checking their health records, and clearing the students to go to clinicals. I was also responsible for compiling, completing and sending the mid year re-accreditation report to the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education and the application to the Health Resource and Services Administration which resulted in a $230,070 grant award.

As a Donor Coordinator I was mainly responsible for contacting mothers whose donated cord blood unit was selected for potential storage and future transplantation in order to complete a health and lifestyle questionnaire to determine eligibility. I was also responsible for managing the organization's website and social mediate, creating the quarterly newsletter, and communicating information to cord blood collectors as well as prospective family donors.

    • Donor Data Specialist
