Galerie Poggi is one of the leading galleries from the new generation in Paris. Founded by curator and art historian Jérôme Poggi in 2009, the gallery was initially located in the North of Paris, and opened its main space in 2014 in front of the Centre Pompidou, in Le Marais. The gallery represents around 20 international artists from different generations. It participates to the main international art fairs such as FIAC (Paris), Armory Show (New York), ArtBasel, Art Basel (Miami), ARCO (Madrid), ARTBO (Bogota), Artissima (Torino), etc. Next to the gallery, the not-for profit organisation, SOCIETIES, was founded in 2004 by Jérôme Poggi to experiment with new models for funding the arts. It encourages and supports private initiatives carried out by communities who want to get involved with the arts scene.

Aside from my institutional roles I also work as an independent curator. My research practice is centered around a continued exploration of site-specificity as a discursive mechanism, art as a political tool, and the idea of the public sphere. I often work with photography, performance, sculpture, and installation. Projects include: - 'Jardin Privé' , December 2019, End of residency exhibition at the Cité Internationale des Arts, Marie-Claire Messouma Manlanbien, Montmartre site. - 'You Amuse Me / I Frighten You', June 2019, entirely comprised of new commissions by Tyler Eash and Chris Hinojosa, co-produced with b.Dewitt Gallery, at The Workshop London (former fire station of 1500sqm), funded by Arts Council England, and Goldsmiths Alumni & Friends Fund, with the in-kind support of Seventeen Gallery and Kunstraum. Catalogue essay by Cédric Fauq. - Camille Bréchignac for Draw Art Fair, Saatchi Gallery, May 2019. Winner of the curatorial competition to pitch a booth for the fair. 4 artists: Xavier Robles de Medina, Camille Rousseau, Jean Boggio and Brodbeck & de Barbuat. - Public Programming for Kunstraum London (performances, workshops, poetry readings, etc) between November 2018 to May 2019 - Allusion to a Body No Longer Present, March 2018, commission for the Swiss Church London, winner of the curatorial competition. Artists Sara Rodrigues and Tyler Eash, 3 performances at the Swiss Church, 1 at St-Giles-Without-Cripplegate (Barbican Center), 1 publication. With the support of Kunstraum, Embassy of Switzerland in the UK, and 30 Indiegogo backers.
