During the spring university term, I helped run two undergraduate modules in Science Communication at King’s College London. As a module tutor, I lead group discussions, marked students’ assignments, and supported their journeys in producing a final piece of science communication. While at Kew, I helped to conserve the plant genus, Callicarpa, known as the “beauty berry” across the Malaysian subcontinent. I researched and authored fifty International Union for Conservation of Nature's Red List of Threatened Species which have all been published online. I also undertook a research project investigating the effect of the environment on leaf area of Malesian Callicarpa.
