The Ohio University Masters of Sports Administration is the #1 ranked graduate program in the world for sports management. One major contributing factor that determines this rank is the strength and size of the program's alumni network. My job is to continue strengthening that network through the cultivation of contributions totaling over $170,000 to the Masters of Sports Administration Annual Fund which help fund program initiatives, and which provide scholarships to those members of the OHIO Family currently in the program. I am also responsible for all ad sales for the annual OHIO Family Sports Administration Alumni Directory, which totals over $30,000 in sales revenue every year. Show less

The Career and Leadership Development Center is a free resource provided by Ohio University to students and alumni to better assist them in their career and professional pursuits. Some services offered are career and leadership coaching, workshops and certificates, as well as quick help with resumes, cover letters, job searches, or any other help pertaining to professional development. As a graduate assistant in the career and leadership development center, I was tasked with leading a group of twelve undergraduate student ambassadors who provide most of the CLDC's workshops across campus. These ambassadors were essentially the face of the CLDC as they interact with hundreds of students on a weekly basis. Another priority within the CLDC is to provide excellent customer service to those we come in contact inside and outside of the CLDC. Show less

The Pitt panther Club is the University of Pittsburgh's athletic fundraising wing, designed to bring in donation dollars for athletic scholarships. This goal is met through both annual giving and major giving. Its database consists of over 6000 active donors. While at Pitt I was able to improve the annual fund by prospecting and stewarding donors from the lower levels of the annual fund, assisted with improving the the Panther Club's "Priority Points" system, and I was able to save the Panther Club money by creating solicitations for donations in-house rather than outsourcing them. As an intern I gained valuable insights into planned giving as I assisted the Directors of Development in research pertaining to endowed coaches' salaries by speaking with other P5 schools about their systems and pricing. The Trojan Athletic Fund (TAF) is the University of Southern California's athletic annual fund, which solicits and processes any donations under $25,000. TAF is made up of over 6000 active annual fund donors, as well as many more major gift donors. As an intern during the Summer of 2016, I was able to be a part of a team that brought in over $100 million for its third consecutive year. I learned the basics of intercollegiate athletic development, including the common CRM system Paciolan. I helped TAF update its donor management system, relocating donation history from all 6000 donors into new software, and I interacted with donors on a daily basis. Show less
