IT Engineer

Jun 2010 - Nov 2012
- Here I was assisting other technicians in a amateur role in a IT environment. Basically we take old PC's and laptops, donated to us or taken (legally) from Refuse sites. We give these PC's a new lease of life, upgrading hard drives, RAM etc, updating to a new fresh licensed copy of either XP Pro or Win 7 Basic, an AV and basic office 2003. Then we sell these PC's based on Spec to students on low budgets so they can do their Uni/College work. We also teach students how to setup basic in house networks so that the can play LAN games or share Printers and Documents with each other. We also run AV clinics and do all kinds of repairs to customers machines, from basic RAM upgrades to monitor replacement on Laptops, to OS upgrades and other software installation and configuration.

Chef

Sep 1998 - Jan 2008
As a 2nd chef I was required not only to cook many different meals but ensure my team understood how to cook the meals in the absence of myself or the head chef. I had to train my team to be able to check orders and correctly match invoices with my orders. In the Head chefs absence I had to undertake full responsibility of the kitchen from food preparation to health and hygiene, staff rotas and any other paperwork. I left due to medical reasons As a 2nd chef I was required not only to cook many different meals but ensure my team understood how to cook the meals in the absence of myself or the head chef. I tried a career change as a friend of mine advised me that good money was made in sales. I soon found out that a passion for a job was more important than trying to earn more money so I left and returned to catering three months later.
