This small paper covering small towns allowed Camelia to grow into her passion, which is criminal justice reform. The Hays Free Press forced Camelia to make difficult and sometimes uninteresting subjects digestible and relatable to our audience. She also fell in love with the Hays county community. Their stories are often ignored by larger media groups, but Camelia takes every issue and soft story with the full force it deserves. First of all, Camelia's experience with KSAT has made her a patient, fair, innovative and creative reporter. The breaking news model at KSAT was online first and every story was a collaborative effort to tell a complete story with the most available information. There was always a conversation about sensitive information and press releases were often challenged. This is the digital reporter Camelia is and she hopes to work for an equally innovative team. Camelia wrote weekly articles about culture and politics for a college based audience. Most of her articles were about current events or about extraordinary college students across the country. In addition to online articles, Camelia wrote a monthly comedy column called "What's your major?", which she wrote jokes about obscure college majors. Study Breaks gave Camelia weekly advice on editing and researching broad national topics. https://studybreaks.com/author/camelia-juarez-texas-state-university/
