Currently I have multiple job duties. My main responsibility is to assist with getting the thousands of San Franciscans as well as businesses into compliance with the citys Mandatory Composting & Recycling ordinance. This ordinance was passed in 2009 and stated that all residents as well as businesses must seperate their waste into the three waste streams which are compost, recycling, and landfill. The citys goal is to reach 0 waste by 20/20. By seperating their waste, they are helping to create a much healthier and sustainable environment for us as well as our future generations to come. I have learned a lot at this job regarding how we are harming our environment everyday and I feel there is not enough people working together to save our planet. I have a passion for working with people, the environment, and helping the city to reach its goal of 0 waste by 20/20. Some of my job duties are but not limited to; answering phones, taking and emailing messages, I have experience with working with excel, google docs, microsoft outlook, filing papers, conducting waste audits/assesments, giving recommendations to business owners regarding compost/recycling bins and or the set up of the bins so that they can easily comply with the citys ordinance, I am responsible for giving staff trainings to the businesses who are having a difficult time cooperating but need and want the help. I love helping people, the environment, I am a really hard worker with a very opened mind who strives hard everyday to succeed and am hoping to find a career opportunity one day doing what I love best. Helping to improve our environment. My time will be ending shortly here at the Dept. Of The Environment and I have high hopes that I will land a career or at least get another opportunity to continue to work for the environment. If there are ANY employers on this site looking to hire an opened minded, hard working, individual please dont hesitate to connect with me and or message me. Thanks for reading!
