  My masters project focused on the screening of the compounds synthesised over the course of my honours project and summers placement. This was achieved through screening of compounds in HEK293 cell lines before carrying out time and concentration dependency studies for most promising compounds. Hit validation was then carried out on hit compounds and the recruited E3 ligase was identified via a pulldown proteomic approach.   My honours project focused on the synthesis of two PROTAC libraries. The project utilised a number of organic synthesis techniques to carry out the parallel synthesis of a total of 36 compounds over the course of the 3-month project. This project built off my previous summer placement giving a longer period of time to plan and design my project to optimise my time.

  As part of a University of Dundee summer placement I joined the Ciulli group carrying out the synthesis of a library of PROTAC molecules. Through this project I carried out parallel synthesis of compounds diversifying the compounds at each stage of the synthesis to introduce diversity into the final library produced by this project to ultimately synthesise 34 compounds.

  As part of my first placement I joined the BCDD unit at the university of Dundee, helping to synthesis a library of compounds for screening in a future high through-put screen. Through-out the project I synthesised a number of different compounds through a number of chemical reactions including Mitsunobu, SnAr, Sulphonamides and reductive amination reactions.
