A seasonal services assistant position before finding a full-time role, with the responsibility to create positive shopping experiences for customers while on the checkouts and replenishing stock. Primarily based on the checkouts during the festive period, I enjoyed building rapport with customers in a fast-paced environment while consistently processing items and refunds at pace. Where possible during quieter hours, I would get involved in stock replenishment in the homeware, fridge and frozen isles in keeping with guidelines. Show less

As part of cross-functional teams at Digital Radish, I was responsible as a creative artworker to complete a range of briefs for two major clients, including The Drum B2B Award-nominated ABM campaign: ‘Unite Everything. Achieve Anything.’ for Applaud. I confidently artworked a high volume of touchpoints efficiently at pace for the 40 target accounts to meet deadlines. They included personalised A1 landscapes of each target’s HR technology stack, report cover designs and a personalised note that I mocked up in slides for the team to share with the client to sign off. Additionally, I designed and presented a piece of sales enablement for the campaign to the creative director and actioned amends that upheld brand guidelines. I worked closely with account managers and content executives to deliver many highly-personalised reports for the Radishes ABM campaign for Iotic. I curated a range of picture research in line with the targeted accounts, engaging with branding and identity, editorial design and typography when artworking, pre-flighting and mocking up the assets for distribution via LinkedIn and print for direct mailers. The agency welcomed me as an integrated designer in their team. I took this invaluable opportunity to build positive relationships with people through cross-team collaboration and actively participate in company all-hands, progress reports and design team meetings. There, I confidently articulated my ideas to the senior designers and creative director and gained a real insight into agency life through their mentorship. • Student Ambassador

Working as a subject specific ambassador for my degree programme leading faculty tours and working with academics to support and inform prospective students. I have also coordinated workloads within changing groups whilst moving new students into halls of residence. Both opportunities have enabled me to build my confidence and communication skills when working individually and in a team doing work I am passionate about. At Pentagon Design, I had the opportunity to rejoin the team on a live editorial design project for Kettler, a major client specialising in sports and garden furniture. I was responsible for independently retouching and photo editing and retouching garden furniture sets with Adobe Photoshop for a perfect-bound printed brochure design to showcase the collections. Tasks included retouching CAD-generated tables and chairs onto indoor and outdoor backgrounds to demonstrate the desirable lifestyle of an ideal customer. During my time, I was also tasked with retouching portrait photographs and learnt how to manage them in a WordPress content management system (CMS). Working with guidance from the creative director and owner gave an eye-opening insight into how a small studio works day-to-day, from briefing the design team and scoping requirements to the software used to present the work to meet official deadlines. At Pentagon Design, I had the opportunity to work amongst their team of four designers and learn about applying fundamental design principles to real live projects for clients. During my one-week work experience, I used Adobe InDesign to design core business collateral for a fictional environmental charity, with traditional methods for logo artwork and grids to arrange typography and image.
