    • Invictus Games Toronto 2017 Athlete
      • May 2017 - Oct 2017

As i was being medically discharged from the military due to injuries i've sustained during service i competed in the Invictus Games Toronto 2017 trials at Bath University. In May 2017 the names for the GB team was announced at the tower of London. I was one of the chosen few to represent GB. I trained with some amazing wounded, Injured and sick soldier/ athletes who i now call friends. Taught by some of the best Coaches in the UK and had the support not just from my family and amazing wife but all the wonderfull Invictus Staff, Help for Heroes and Royal British Legion. The discpline i chose was Archery and Shot. Archery was a new sport for me and it was that little bit harder as i had to shoot using a mouth release aid attached to my bow. This was due to my right arm not fully functioning and unable to shoot like a normal archer. Shot was something i had already competed in within my regiment and corp but the only change was i now had to use my left arm to throw. This was challenging but all i could do was try my best. Invictus Games Results Shot - I withdrew due to injury Archery Novice - I finished an overall 5th place out of 27. I am extremely proud of my acheivement as i was the only adapted mouth archer in my catagory.
