Student Ambassador
-
Dec 2013 - Jun 2016
As a student ambassador I developed my ability to rapidly build a rapport with strangers, in groups as large as twenty, when conducting tours of the campus; and to entertain and inform people about myself, higher education and the university in short spaces of time. This job also entailed the detailed remembrance of a large amount of information whilst simultaneously presenting it in an informative yet engaging way. This was done not only on tours but in presentations on student life, finance, HE and the university. I was also trained and expected to attend HE fairs and presentations at local schools.

Junior Editor
-
Jun 2014 - Jun 2015
In this role I conducted initial proofreading and editing of articles submitted for publication, provided comments, constructive criticism and suggested improvements for submissions, and met with senior editors to discuss progress and forthcoming issues. My ability to swiftly read documents, understand their contents, and deconstruct and analyse arguments was deeply strengthened by this experience.
