  My main duties as a gardener include mowing, strimming, planting and general garden maintenance. I also assist in garden projects throughout the year such as the chalk white horse and several fences around campus. I have completed my health and safety, safeguarding and first aid mandatory training. I drive the trucks with a trailer and many variety of mowers. This job has given me the confidence to work independently as a gardener and feel confident to use my own initiative and produce professional work. I enjoy gardening and have a great work ethic, enjoying my days and feel motivated to expand my knowledge and skills. I have completed my practical horticulture course at Wiltshire College and my 2 spraying and pesticides courses. I am looking to complete my theory horticulture course shortly and eventually my chainsaw license.   My typical jobs as a groundsman were rope assisted fells, being aware of climber and public safety in the surrounding area, using various specified knots to pass up equipment to climbers, refuelling equipment, stacking debris for order and also safety and using the blower to clear the area.
