Cricket program co-lead. Lead on delivery, planning , administration and fixture organisation. Design player development programs (Macro, Meso and Micro-cycles), cricket coaching work schemes and frameworks, as well as accommodate coach development for our staff. Challenge and hone my coaching practice day to day coaching right through our boys school program and girls school program, school 1st team and 15A's head coach. Design and deliver a robust school cricket program which provides boys with as many opportunities as possible. Fixture list accommodates different cricket formats for boys learning and development (including bespoke 100 ball tournament between welsh schools) and winter program encompasses of small group sessions, 1:1's, and discipline specific performance groups with specialist coaches (batting group, fast bowling group, spin bowling group, wicket-keeping group). Experience here of managing player workloads, and tracking progress through performance profiles and key performance indicators utilising analysis within sessions and games. Fielding lead for senior boys. Launched, designed and lead on delivery and player/coach development at our sister school, Monmouth School for girls, and lead Monmouth boys prep program. Implemented cricket pyramid structure from our pre-prep to our senior schools in our family of schools so we can track participation and progress. Main aims were to get our children to have cricketing exposure from an early age, adding to our cricket culture within our schools, and learn basics and fundamentals through our own bespoke learning cricket through physical literacy, as well as programs in the local community such as all-stars/dynamo cricket/cricktots. Designed games program for pre-prep as well as well as organising staffing and coach activation/development. Teacher of curriculum PE (KS1, KS2, and assist A-level teaching) and Games, coaching multiple sports teams, as well as undertaking pastoral roles and boarding duties.

Cricket Wales under 14's Head Coach, Pathway Coach

14's head coach and coach throughout the boys and girls pathway at all age groups. Present as an assistant coach for multiple age groups. One day and multi-day coaching experience. Lead on activities for all age groups within winter and summer programs, implement and enhance our current player development models and strategy. Design phases of Winter/Summer training, as well as development inter-squad festivals. As a head coach created selection policy, implemented parental and participant code of conduct, as well as create team culture around Cricket Wales core values. As a part of player development, write comprehensive player reports and assessments, conduct and participate in coaches meetings, and effectively communicate and work alongside regional coaches (being present at regional games as part of a scouting role), Strength and conditioning and athletic development coaches, lead Psychologist at Glamorgan Cricket, as well as parents/guardians. Assisted with the coaching and delivery of the Glamorgan Senior and Junior academy, as well as assisted 2nd team when they were playing at Monmouth School. Present as a guest coach/assistant coach for Wales senior Women, and look to undertake more coaching within the women's set up as a whole. Due to take up coach education role/tutor with Cricket Wales 2020/21.

1:1, Group Coaching, Mentoring and Consultancy

Conduct various 1:1 sessions, group sessions with a range of participants and abilities as well as mentoring and consultancy with cricketers and teams. Sessions are designed to be fun, inclusive with a focus on development backed up by an informed philosophy. The range of my work has brought in professionals from the women's game as well as players of 2nd XI and academy standard in the men's game alongside age group cricketers. Uploaded is a testimony from professional female cricketer Fi Morris, who represents the Southern Vipers, Hampshire Women, Southern Brave and previously England Women's academy. Every participant will have a development plan tailored to their individual needs and goals. Over 12 month cycles I designed alongside Fi, Robust Macro, Meso and Micro-cycles for her training around her busy schedule and used effective video analysis to delve into technique. I believe this form of planning and reflection to be effective and this service is available to players I coach.

Coach Development and Mentoring

Assist junior club coaches and junior school coaches with their personal development. Having the education, experience and continual learning of coaching theories, approaches and practice has allowed me to always be a student of the game and the art and craft of coaching. Experience of delivering and facilitating coach education and coach development to groups of coaches, coaching teams and individuals coaches accommodating a holistic approach tailored to the authenticity of the individual and their coaching context. I have experienced providing coach development and learning within our school program as well as with some junior club coaches and coaching teams.

Assisting the indoor cricket school in running 1:1, group and team sessions for all age groups and abilities. Here had experience working with good players as well as working in the community engagement and sport development team in ensuring participation in our cricketing initiatives were high and delivering coaching practice comparable to the standard of Glamorgan's values and ethos. Here I worked with a lot of age group and representative cricketers on their technical, tactical and psychological development. This furthered my awareness of my behaviours and understanding as a coach and how I could positively impact that individual and their needs. Gloucestershire Visually impaired coach

This role which pleasing brought the Gloucestershire Growlers the 2017 county championship as well as a runner up medal in the 2017 knockout one day cup was a brilliant experience. What Visually Impaired coaching did for my coaching philosophy and approach was bring me out of my comfort zone, challenged the norms of my approach and enhanced my communication skills and behaviours having to differ them for a disability side. I had to innovate, be creative and think more diversely within sessions, games and when planning development and our own gameplans. I have used skills from this and transferable approaches and behaviours in my coaching practice today. The role allowed me to further understand and develop a passion for disability cricket and sport, providing me with an insight into the key role it plays in today's society. I have since been in contact with the England VI coaching team about coaching opportunities, CPD and undertaking individual sessions with their players.

Partnering dissertation research, assisting coaching and researching coaching behaviours and the variation of approaches implemented in performance and elite cricket. I was very lucky to take learnings from a professional first class environment under Richard Dawson and Gareth Dawson within the Gloucestershire pathway system. I understood here the philosophies and approaches needed in order to accommodate the participants needs. After spending time with professional coaches I am comfortable in a professional environment in myself as a young coach knowing how I can positively impact elite players through my knowledge of the game as well as my ability to facilitate their learning through empowering and building relationships with the individual.

Placement: Assistant coaching CAG & academy

University placement at Worcestershire County Cricket Club assisting the head coach of the academy Elliot Wilson. Enabled me to adapt and learn how to differ my approach to best benefit participants of the age group system and academy. Even during a short time on this placement, I gained my first taste of developing elite performers through purposeful match practice replicating game scenarios. The placement also played a part in my dissertation research into coaching practice theories and pedagogy exploring the implementation of Games based theories and representative learning design. A lot has been written about the Worcestershire set up and academy and their success rate in bringing through academy players into their first team and players being involved in England age group/lions/men's national sides. The experience in such a proven successful environment was invaluable.

Within this leadership role parallel to coaching and teaching I benefitted through the learnings of facilitating learning, development, education, as well as a culture of excellence in what we did. Cheltenham Racecourse hosts high profile events and race meets with the customers expecting excellence. Educating and helping staff provide an excellent experience where there is expectation and small margin's for error in many areas informed my understanding of expectation, pressure and how to get the best out of young people and empower them to be the best version of themselves whilst representing Cheltenham racecourse with a warm and kind personality and with immense pride. I looked to facilitate a learning experience no matter if this was to part time or full time staff having a healthy focus on being meticulous in preparation and looking to be a good person to create a relationship with our customers. I learned a lot about creating relationships with both staff and customers I learned a lot about my communication skills as well as the ability to embrace feedback and diverse thinking. Previously, I had informed good knowledge around building customer relationships from multiple other catering roles held.

Design of Junior Cricket Logistical Plan

Partnered with University module work tasked with re-writing Woodmancote Cricket Club’s junior cricket 2 year plan in a sport development role. The means of the project was focused around increasing the levels of participation in the junior age groups creating a coaching structure and coaching frameworks as well as engaging the community and club members more in the club and it's roles and understanding what the club could provide at a junior level to provide a platform for the club. The experience would benefit me later on down the line in my Directory role at Creigiau Cricket Club.

Youth Engagement Officer & Team Leader

Youth engagement officer and team leader managing staff in delivering opportunities and experiences to young adults. This was one of my first leadership roles and experiences and this is when I learned some good traits about myself which would relate into my coaching. What I took away the most from this experience was how to converse, interact and look to get the best out of different types of personalities and that everyone is different. My communication skills and my ability to create a positive, comfortable and reciprocal environment with different types of young adults provided me with a really good platform in understanding people and their motivations. In dealing with disadvantaged young people I learned quickly how to find common ground and facilitate their ideas and creative minds. I looked to empower probably earlier than I would with people I understand straight away. I understood here how to put young people's needs before my own and realised it was all about the individual and it always has to be. With both staff and students on the program I learned how to manage high trust working and social relationships and learned how to work with groups in order to find a common goal to work towards. A humbling and beneficial experience in so many ways.

Adapted quickly through my profound communication skills and the bug has been with me ever since to learn and continue to better my practice every single day.
