Hands-on collaboration in the establishment of an independent K-8 school for gifted learners from the ground up. Our team collaboration successfully increased enrollment from 30 to approximately 150 students over 4 years. Consistently created inquiry-based curriculum integrated across subjects (language arts, science, social studies) that addressed 21st century skills, project-based learning, Edtech, and creative problem solving for gifted learners during 8 semesters over 4 years.Designed and delivered engaging grade K and grade 3 math curriculum integrating Singapore Math, Stanford Math Circle challenges, YouCubed, and student-centered exploration. Increased student’s MAP score between 10 and 20 points by May 2016.Implemented multiple electives for grades 1-7 including writing club, storytelling, theater, Shakespeare and dance electives.Arranged and supervised multi-night outdoor education camping trips & field work trips.
