Responsible for collecting wastewater samples from municipal wastewater treatment plants around Michigan for ddPCR analysis. Conducted ddPCR analysis on samples that potentially contained SARS-CoV-2. Variant analysis of SARS-CoV-2 was also performed using ddPCR analysis. Tasked with managing inventory of lab materials and notifying the lab manager of required reagents. Trained lab technicians in ddPCR and qPCR techniques for microbial source tracking, parental/variants of SARS-CoV-2, and beach testing. Extensive knowledge and training in Bio-Rad and Qiagen systems such as the QX200 Droplet Digital Reader, Automated Droplet Generator/Manual Droplet Generator, C1000 Thermal Cyclers, and Qiacube.
