Through this experience, I honed a set of valuable legislative skills, including the adeptness to conduct in-depth research on various subjects for Senator Kane and the team, crafting original memos to secure cosponsors, and even formulating entirely new legislative drafts. Proficiency in utilizing the LDP online system became second nature, enabling me to seamlessly circulate cosponsor memos, draft legislative documents, and effectively present proposed legislation to the Senate Secretary for formal introduction. My role also entailed a vigilant oversight of ongoing legislation, enabling me to create concise bill summaries and compile comprehensive databases to support key policy initiatives.
