Head Volleyball Coach - Grade 10 Boys (Honours)

This position requires me to plan and run two training sessions per week. Multiple competitions are run throughout the school year for which I must also plan for and coach throughout. Since beginning this position, I began training via the online Digital Volleyball Academy to hone my knowledge of the sport and learn how to effectively coach my athletes. Our latest competitions have yielded positive results, including 1st in the State and 2nd in the Country for beach volleyball.

This position requires of me the same as above, though with only one training session per week. My Grade 8 athletes play volleyball less competitively, and so I seek first the opportunity to create a positive environment where they can be mentored, guided and challenged. Our last competition ended abruptly in the previous year, in which we finished in the top 4 of Division 2.

Secretary - Ipswich Youth Advisory Council

The role involved organising monthly meeting locations, times and agendas, requiring me to regularly liaise and co-ordinate with members of the Ipswich Council, other members of the Youth Council to discuss relevant internal projects, and external members of the community to discuss relevant opportunities in accordance with IYAC wishes.

Youth Representative - Ipswich Youth Advisory Council

IYAC was a youth-engagement initiative by Ipswich City Council aimed to empower change-making initiatives across the City—“designed by its young people, for young people.” Having been involved in several projects varying in magnitude and multiple subcommittees, at the time of the dissolution I was creating a prototype app to consolidate all community and Council events and services for Ipswich youth.
