Every day I walk several general observation rounds, securing the building and checking for anything or anyone that does not belong. I secure data, closets and labs, checking for leaks or damage to property, and occasionally assist with Spill Response clean up. I also do a couple vehicle patrols of the parking lot, checking for suspicious vehicles or people, as well as vehicles with flat tires or damage. I also give out parking tickets to those who violate our parking regulations. I work with DePuy employees and contractors on a daily basis, if they need assistance with anything. I also make badges for new employees and contractors, and for those who forgot or accidentally broke them. Daily, I file and perform computer work. I also transfer most of our written documents into a digital format. I am proficient with most Windows Microsoft software such as Word, Powerpoint, Access, and Excel. Show less

After training, learning the menu, and serving for 3 months, I started tending bar. I really enjoyed how much more of a positive work environment there as it has helped me grow as a person and has made my job more guest-obsessed. I learned how to maintain a balance in keeping the guests happy and keeping the bar area clean. During each shift, I ran a register, constantly swept the floor, wiped down counter tops and tables, and serve food and drinks responsibly to the guests of the dining area and bar. I am ServSave Certified through Ruby Tuesday and have received a certificate for passing ISEP Alcohol Tobacco Commission Testing, as well as an award for passing a "Minor test" when they came to Ruby Tuesday. Working at Hacienda for almost 5 years, I cooked, served, did dishes, put the inventory truck away, and learned to tend bar. I started out in the kitchen, which was a fast-paced environment where I learned that communication is the key to success in every position in a restaurant. Everywhere in the restaurant, the main goal was to keep it clean and organized, while keeping the guests happy. Cooking made the other departments easier to learn because I already knew the menu and prices. Closing duties included washing and sanitizing all countertops, scrubbing and squeegeeing the floor, and putting all cooled food away & drinks. Closing duties while serving included cleaning tables & floors, rolling silverware, and going through our sales report with a manager. Show less
