  I knew I wanted to become a veterinarian since I could properly pronounce the word at 5 years of age. I completed my undergraduate degree at UC Davis with a B.S. in Animal Science. I was very involved with the Vet Aide Club and was on the equestrian team. I attended veterinary school at WesternU in Pomona, CA. I was president of the student chapter of the Association of Shelter Veterinarians as well as several other boards. I traveled with World Vets and organized many wellness and preventative care clinics for the community. I have a small family farm that is my second job when I’m not at Mercy that is my little slice of heaven. I originally started at Mercy Pet Hospital, Inc. about 10 years ago when I was hired as a receptionist to join the first team at our Citrus Heights location grand opening. I have been with the practice since, through veterinary school, as an associate, and now Medical Director. I know the ins and outs of every position and what makes a great team work!As a team leader I am an eager learner, and always open to new thoughts and ideas. I have an incredibly positive attitude, personality, and outlook. I am easy to talk to and come to with concerns, questions, suggestions. And I strive to come up with a positive solution that works for the whole team.
