Lisa Hunefeld, CPCC, PCC

Caitlin is an insightful and powerful coach and facilitator who sees the full potential of her clients. I had the pleasure of meeting & working with Caitlin when she was assisting with the delivery of an advanced coaching program. Caitlin brought the content to life through her unique combination of skill, wisdom and presence. This is her superpower-----weaving her skills & talents with empathy and heart. Throughout my career, I have worked with and hired many coaches and facilitators and I would highly recommend Caitlin for these roles.

I am currently one of the collaborators on the WOSEN project: https://wosen.pillarnonprofit.ca/en/home/# WOSEN works with equity at the centre as we work to unleash the entrepreneurial energy and capacity of women, genderqueer and non-binary social entrepreneurs of Ontario. We offer programming directly to entrepreneurs and connect them to funders and supports within the provincial ecosystem. We also work with those funders and supporters to build their understanding and awareness of systemic oppression, their role in upholding oppressive systems and the barriers faced by equity-deserving entrepreneurs. I get to co-design and co-facilitate the Social Enterprise Ecosystem Developers Program: https://wosen.pillarnonprofit.ca/events/summer-2022/rebuilding-our-economy-for-shared-prosperity I also get to work with subject matter experts within the ecosystem to develop learning opportunities to build capacity, connection and confidence in social entrepreneurs at every stage of their enterprise development. I ALSO get to work with others within the collaborative as we develop a tool to help hold difficult conversations that help explore the current landscape and what equitable systems could look like. Together, we are gamifying the WOSEN Design Principles: https://pillarnonprofit.ca/news/wosens-design-principles-moving-beyond-checkboxes-create-systems-change

I've been working with Twenty One Toys for 5 years as an associate facilitator and was over the moon when they asked me to sign on as a Lead Facilitator this January. This L&D Toy Company uses high quality toys to craft experiences that teach the necessary skills to be successful in the 21st century - skills like empathy, failure, communication, creative problem solving, etc. These workshops are highly engaging, really fun and lead to some deep insights that contribute to behaviour change. Their toys are all over the world with more to come! I love working with these folks so much!

I grew up in Parry Sound, ON on the beautiful Georgian Bay, where I developed a deep appreciation for nature, water and snow! At 14, I moved to London, ON to pursue a singing career - this eventually took me to California, the East Coast USA and the U.K. where I was consistently teaching and performing. When I returned to London, I went to King’s University College and earned a degree in Social Justice & Peace Studies and Political Science. After University, I gained my certifications in Co-Active Life Coaching and NeuroTransformation Coaching and I began to shadow some of the incredible local coaches within our community. Put all of this in a blender and my passion is to create facilitated group experiences that draw on lessons from performing arts, coaching, play and neuroscience. My workshops consider both hemispheres of the brain, geography of the body, and the relationships among the participants, to create a highly impactful and memorable experience. In these workshops, we have fun, we laugh, we learn, and we uncover new perspectives and new ways of understanding ourselves, our impact and our relationships. When I work with teams, we see results of increased connection, trust, and empathy. We infuse a little fun into the culture and notice positive shifts in work satisfaction, higher productivity, and a more effective team. When I work with individuals, we get to dig deep into understanding the brain, the self, and the way they show up in the world. Over a period of 6 months, we see highly increased self-awareness, greater emotional intelligence, deeper connected relationships, more balanced mental health, and an elevated sense of purpose to move forward in an intentional way. Seeing people experience growth and understanding, a deeper sense of self and greater empathy through the lenses of neuroscience and play, is a fascinating and incredibly rewarding career. I am one of the lucky ones that gets to say, "I love what I do!!"

As a Co-Active and NeuroTransformation Coach, I hold my clients with compassion, heart, and rigour as they navigate their own change and growth. Together, we explore and discover who they are & who they want to be and intentionally design the life they want to live. We look at thoughts and behaviours from a heart perspective with a neuroscience lens - which ones serve the person and which are costing them and need to change. When my heart connects to another's, there is nothing else like it in the world. No words can explain that feeling, when I see you and I hear you in all your beauty and all your ugly, all your love and all your fear. I cherish those who are brave enough to show me who they are and I will always remind you that you are loveable and worthy. A true passion has budded within me for facilitating groups and teams. It is fascinating to observe and share the concepts and create such a powerful shift in team dynamics and culture. I love to co-facilitate and co-create with other coaches and facilitators. I am meant to share in the development and delivery of this work. I thrive in collaboration! I am always looking for new connections to people and/or organizations that would align with me - please share any connections you can think of! I work best with creative people that have positive self-awareness, and emotional and social intelligence: people that are intentional about their life/career and are passionate in their desire to add value to our world. I love to work with people/organizations that see relationships, creativity, empathy, and collaboration as integral to innovation and success. I am currently leading (sharing in leadership) the London Area Coaches Community. We meet monthly and support each other in professional development. This group is open to all types of coaches that are training or certified with an ICF accredited affiliate. Shoot me a message if you're a coach and you're interested in checking us out!

Janet Frood has been my mentor since I began my journey with coaching. She took me under her wing and brought me along as her assistant. She is a highly skilled coach and facilitator that I learned so much from - not only about facilitation, but also about my own capabilities. She has helped me identify and cultivate my strengths. Our biggest project together was working on innovative curriculum design for a large-scale organizational culture project for McCormick Canada. I thrive in environments where there is collaboration and co-creation, when we can encourage and challenge each other. Janet offered this experience and thus began my love of workshop design and collaboration.

Wendy Thompson and I have designed and delivered many workshops together for a variety of teams, ranging in size from 6-100. They also range in sector, ie: some clients have been London Hydro, YMCA, University of Michigan. Given our shared training in NeuroTransformation Coaching, we co-create workshops with the brain in mind. We make our time with you energetic, experiential, fun, engaging and create a lasting effect. We also make a great Coach Team for businesses where Wendy Coaches the Executive Level and I coach the upcoming leaders.

Throughout my time with The Young Americans, I worked with youth in Southern California in a juvenile prison, a homeless shelter, community organizations and an underprivileged school. I was a cast member on 2 tours (1 through the East Coast States and 1 in the UK). On tour we would teach improv, dance, and singing workshops as well as a 1hr show to a group of kids at a school. We would go to a new town every 3 days after performing with the participants. One time, in England, we had a group of 500 kids! It was an incredible experience and sometimes feels unbelievable in my memory. Through the workshops, we were also teaching life skills, leadership, increasing confidence, building resilience and often nurturing the belief in the students that they are capable of so much more than they give themselves credit for. We would push them out of their comfort zones to a place where they could feel alive and even surprise themselves. The experience is hard to put into words. Watching a light turn on in the eyes of a child that just discovered or expressed something amazing about themselves is an unbelievably beautiful thing.
