  • Install, check, calibrate, diagnose, and repair instruments, including ambient air analyzers, zero air generators, pneumatic systems, compressed air cylinders and regulators, SUMMA canisters, and dataloggers according to manuals and schematics • Compile and analyze data for quarterly and annual reports and presentations incorporating metadata, continuous data from ambient analyzers and meteorological instruments, and discrete data from chemical analyses • Procure, inventory, and recertify parts and equipment • Modify datalogger programs, download data, and ensure continuity of data collection using real-time monitoring software • Design and implement monthly and quarterly quality control checks using specialized calibration equipment • Write, edit, finalize, and follow technical documents such as Standard Operating Procedures and Quality Assurance Project Plans • Adhere to departmental safety regulations and emergency protocol • Record all fieldwork in detail using secure e-logbook • Oversee data entry by technician trainees • Collaborate with colleagues and external database programmer to design a new database for air quality and meteorological data • Perform assessments of indoor air quality including sources of mold and moisture and making recommendations for mitigation and remediation • Manage marine propulsion diesel engine replacements on commercial vessels, i.e., reviewing engine specifications and making technical decisions with equipment vendors, mechanics, and tribal fishers Show less
