Responsible for the supervision of the staff, programs, facilities, volunteers, animals, operations and development of The Chico Creek Nature Center. Set on a 3.25 acre lease in Bidwell Park The Center is home to two buildings and a collection of more than a dozen species of animals. The Center is the information center for Bidwell Park and hosts field trips, camps, and a variety of other educational programs throughout the park. The Center had an annual budget of $185,000 when I started.

As an Extension Associate, I had a variety of responsibilities including coordinating the AgCenter's Oil Spill Response and Recovery Task Force, managing the Wetland Plant Center's volunteer propagation and planting programs, over seeing the Urban Fisheries and Shorelines Initiative and assisting the Youth Wetlands Program with presenting at Youth Wetland Days. My work with the Oil Spill Task Force included planning and executing a 3 state 5 institution speaking tour on the Oil Spill's impacts on the Coast of Louisiana.
