During this graduation assignment we, my classmate and I, worked on a project for the Netherlands Institute for Sustainable Packaging (KIDV). We investigated the current mushroom packaging, the blue trays with transparent lids, which are made mostly out of PS (polystyrene). We conducted a material investigation for PS and 3 other materials based on several sustainability aspects. We used this research to create an advise report in which we also discussed the production method, the closing method, the look of the packaging and communication on the packaging. For the period of February 2017 till June 2017 I have been an intern at the Cadushy Distillery in Bonaire. During this internship, it was my assignment to create a bundle, travel packaging for the several miniature liqueur bottles. I also helped in the distillery, where I explained the distilling process to the tourists, and I worked in the bar/shop. From September 2016 until January 2017 I have been an intern for PaperFoam in Barneveld. It was my assignment to investigate how to package fruit and vegetables in a paperfoam packaging.
