Madison, WI I started my journey at Dean Health Plan as a Project Specialist Consultant in the PMO. During that time, I became an expert in Healthcare Reform, and worked on several successful projects to prepare the company for the changes ahead, such as internal training, provider communication, as well as more technical changes like ERA/EFT transaction process for compliance with Administrative Simplification. In April 2014, I got hired on as a Product Analyst. My expertise is in our Self-Funded business, though I dabble in all of the lines of business. One on-going responsibility is the yearly filing for our qualified health plans, during which I aid in the ECP and Network Adequacy filings. As a Business Project Manager, I am managing the implementation for E-Visit functionality and the implementation of a new Wellness and Disease Management Solution. I love the fast pace of this position. I am fortunate to have a holistic view of the products that Dean Health Plan offers and to see the direct impacts of my work. Dean is the most customer-centric company I have ever worked for, which gives me so much pride in the work that I and my colleagues do. Show less

Verona, WI I was Project Manager at Epic for nearly 3 years. I worked on the Computerized Physician Order Entry ( CPOE - a.k.a. "Orders") application of the software. While extremely proficient in the entire application, I specialized in the logic and creation of Order Sets, Meaningful Use, and Joint Commission standards for inpatient. "Orders") application of the software. While extremely proficient in the entire application, I specialized in the logic and creation of Order Sets, Meaningful Use, and Joint Commission standards for inpatient. A major client I worked with was the University of Mississippi Medical Center, which is a large academic hospital. The install was the full enterprise of all of our applications, and took about 2 years to complete. It was a great challenge and experience. I also had general community hospitals as clients for which I was the point person for the CPOE application. While at Epic, I learned valuable skills such as keeping pace in an extremely face-paced environment, managing internal and external projects concurrently, and learning the general process for technical implementations. Perhaps the skill I'm most grateful for acquiring at Epic is the cultivation of my interpersonal skills and how to interact with clients that are very passionate about what they do and often times express their very strong opinions (in this case, physicians). Listening and truly understanding needs is a big, if not the biggest, part of what I still do today. Having tact in hearing concerns and offering solutions is incredibly valuable and useful to me.
