What Caitlin has achieved with the Love Mercy Foundation is truly inspiring, and I’m sure her working style contributes to that success. Working with her on a project is completely refreshing as she is always open to everyone’s ideas and suggestions. Her leadership brings out the best in everyone so they feel encouraged and supported, while providing guidance in the right direction. There is some good karma at work there!

I have worked with Caitlin Barrett in her role as the CEO of Love Mercy Foundation and have travelled to Uganda with her in November 2018 to see the work first hand. Caitlin is a compassionate leader who empowers her team to take responsibility and develop new ways of doing things with IMPACT at the centre of the organisation's purpose. She is incredibly hard-working, keen to learn and improve, takes governance seriously but is also a lot of fun to work with. I highly recommend Caitlin for her good-natured approach to tough times, her ambitious hard work for those less fortunate and her clever use of technology to maximise reach.

As Love Mercy embarks on a new phase of its development I am proud and excited to be at the helm with a wonderful team of staff, visionary leaders, and volunteers to guide and grow our business model, increase our fundraising success and strengthen and improve our capacity. As we aim to quadruple our turn over in the coming 5 years in order to exponentially grow our programs in the field, I am excited to be taking on new challenges such as implementing a comprehensive media and communications strategy, increasing donor engagement and growing or network of supporters. As Operations Manager I oversaw the complete workings of the not for profit from the implementation and management of projects on the ground in Uganda, and the strategic, fundraising, compliance and administrative directions of the organization in Sydney. This including the application and management of implementing a deductible gift recipient program for LMF, and managing a growing team. I also oversaw the application on behalf of LMF to ACFID for Code of Conduct signatory status. This included the management of procedures and policy implementation, and the establishment of new codes of conduct for staff and volunteers.I also conducted several monitoring and evaluation trips during this period, and managed small teams of private contractors to also perform monitoring and evaluation.I managed and helped to increase the capacity of our staff on the ground in Uganda, and ensured stakeholders in both countries were functioning at full strength. Involved in this were field trips to Uganda to lead fact-gathering teams in interview and data collection.I also established budgets, fundraising structures, strategic plans, and project documents including monitoring and evaluation plans.

I managed a flourishing office in Sutherland which offered retail and office space to many different businesses. This role included the management of tenants, managing office budgets and supplies as well as acting as personal assistant to two busy accountants. During this time I also completed a Certificate IV in Mortgage Broking and finance. I managed a flourishing office in Sutherland which offered retail and office space to many different businesses.
