Drivetrain Redesign Lead
-
Jan 2019 - Jun 2019
Rather than design a whole car for SAE Baja's 2019 international competitions, we chose to redesign just the components of the rear half of our latest car, which we call Eagle 3. Of the three subsystems being redesigned, I volunteered to act as lead for the drivetrain redesign. In this position, I • Gathered a group of team members interested in being a part of the redesign process • Discussed the timeline of the redesign with the club’s president • Scheduled weekly meetings to discuss, plan, and execute the redesign • Delegated components of the drivetrain to design • Designed one version of railing support using that was refined and put onto the finished car using Solidworks Show less
