    • Iterative Space Residency
      • Jun 2020 - Aug 2020

The Iterative Space is a residency program that elevates and honors professional educators. It is a design lab for motivated educators to build upon their ideas/passions/sparks in the proximity of other educational professionals doing the same. My recent teaching experiences have focused on social-emotional content in order to build students’ capacity to know who they are, who they are becoming, and have the confidence and skills in building positive identities, self-awareness, emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, and self-advocacy. I am passionate about moving this critical work forward in more equitable and expansive ways in order to provide all students access to social-emotional and sexual health education. I have witnessed the magic of learning when educators implement a rigorous socio-emotional curriculum of empowerment that is rooted in a socio-political-cultural-historical context and utilize a critical pedagogy of love. Feedback from students and colleagues has affirmed the power of creating learning spaces that prioritize movement and critical inquiry while treating students with dignity, honoring their histories, perspectives, and multiple identities. I feel strongly that this residency has supported me to build my own company and push this curricular work forward in new and exciting ways. Iterative Space https://www.iterativespace.org/ Show less

Serving girls from across the Denver-Metro area, Eureka! broadens girls’ future academic and career interests, encourages enrollment in advanced math and science courses, promotes positive risk-taking, and assists girls in developing networks of peers and mentors to support their future endeavors. During Eureka! girls gain first-hand knowledge through a variety of exciting and compelling activities that explore the cutting edge world of STEM through experiences in a college campus environment.
