      I work in a small Fundraising and Comms team, managing the charity's communications and marketing. My role supports the organisation to raise our profile and awareness of youth homelessness, and the impact our work has on the lives of young people. I manage the charity's website and look at ways that it can be altered to be visually engaging, improve user navigation and make the process more streamlined for all visitors, whether it's for fundraising purposes or a young person who needs our help. I manage the social media pages, sharing current news from Roundabout, relevant updates from our young people and promote Roundabout’s fundraising events and activities. In 2019, I found myself on the other side of the lens and created a series of challenge videos between myself and our Events Fundraiser, Emily. The challenge element helped to promote our relationship with Varsity and the entertaining content initiated impressive engagement!Working with designers to create promotional material for various services and impact reports is a key part of my role, but I also design assets for fundraising campaigns, social media posts and other digital use myself.I work alongside PR consultant John Highfield PR to manage PR activity for the charity, helping to spread the word about Roundabout, opportunities for support and the work we do to support young people in South Yorkshire.       I worked for a charity associated with Cornish heritage (Wheal Martyn Trust) at Wheal Martyn, a china clay museum. Here, I ran the gift shop and museum admissions, encouraged visitors to Gift Aid and answered any queries. I also liased with the volunteer tour guides and organised group tours.
