  At the Rowan County Public Library, my main job consists of me helping patrons. I check in and out materials and answer any reference questions patrons may have. I also help with technology problems and other miscellaneous issues that arise in the library atmosphere. The more exciting part of this job is the planning and presiding over programs. I have held a handful of programs for a variety of age groups. I held an LGBTQ+ History night where I taught about the History of Stonewall and Gay rights and then helped everyone with a craft afterwards. I've also held competition based programs where patrons could submit work to be judged and then receive prizes. Show less
